ICE officers detain Kilmar Abrego Garcia. He is deported to El Salvador three days later. Trump administration says deportation was an administrative error.
ICE officers arrest father while he drops off child at daycare. He is sent to Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma.
ICE officer shoots and kills Silverio Villegas Gonzalez. DHS says officer shot Silverio in self defense after being struck by the car and dragged. Bodycam footage shows officer describing his injuries as a cut and "nothing major".
ICE agents conduct raid in Elgin home. They use helicopters helicopters, bright lights and smoke bombs then arrest 7 people, including two U.S. citizens.
Plainclothes ICE agents detain U.S. citizen for hours despite him proving his citizenship.
Federal agents violently arrest Hillsboro man with valid work permit after mistaking him for someone else. Agents continue to arrest him despite knowing about the mistaken identity. He is told "work permits don't matter anymore" by the agents arresting him. He is released three weeks later.
Federal agents arrest 14 people after raid at Bro-Tex Inc.
ICE arrests Metro Transit employee on his way to work. He is detained for over a month and then released without explanation.

An estimated 2000 agents are sent to Minneapolis. DHS says they are here to investigate the allegations of fraud from Somali residents.
Luis Ramirez Orozco, a U.S. citizen, is handcuffed and then assaulted by ICE agents.
Border Patrol agents handcuff two Roosevelt High School staff members, tackle and release chemical irritants on bystanders during school dismissal.
ICE officer, Jonathan Ross, fatally shoots Renee Macklin Good in her vehicle.
Rev. Susie Hayward and Rev. Ashley Horan are shot with pepper rounds and pepper sprayed while protesting Renee Good's killing.
20-year-old U.S. citizen is assaulted by ICE agents and then detained for hours.

ICE officers break windows of car and spray pepper spray at two legal observers. They are arrested on charges of obstruction and taken to the Whipple Federal building. One of the observers is offered money or legal protection for his family if he named fellow organizers or undocumented neighbors. They are both released after 8 hours. As they leave the detention center one of them is hit by chemical irritants.
ICE officials ram into special education paraprofessional’s car in school parking lot then hold her for 12 hours in detention center.
Border patrol agents hit legal observer’s car then break into it to pull him out. Multiple agents lay on top of him and beat him. Agents repeatedly knee him in the face as other agents hold him down. Witnesses are threatened with cans of chemical irritants.
4 members of the Oglala Sioux Tribe are detained by federal agents and taken to detention center.
Trump Administration announces end of Temporary Protected Status program for Somalis.
Teenage refugee is arrested by federal agents on her way to school. After a judge orders she not be removed from Minnesota, agents hold her in a hotel room overnight.

ICE officer shoots Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis in the leg after chasing him home in North Minneapolis. Officer says Julio and two other men attacked him with a shovel and broomstick. The men are arrested.
ICE agents eat lunch at Willmar Mexican Restaurant then arrest employees that night.
Local union says multiple MSP Airport employees have been arrested by federal agents while on the job.
Minneapolis City Council president, Elliot Payne, assaulted by ICE while legally observing operations.
Federal agents raid home in St. Paul and detain 6 people including a 12-year-old child. Agents claim to have a warrant but do not show it. The detainees are transported to various detention centers in Texas. The child is denied access to his inhaler. A judge orders their release after no warrant is produced.
Immigration officers detain second-grader and her parents in hospital parking lot. The family was there seeking medical care for the seven-year-old.
Indriany Mendoza Camacho and Valentina de Los Angeles Moreno, partners of the men accused of attacking ICE agents before Jan. 14 shooting are sent to Texas detention center. Their toddlers are placed with family members. The former is released almost two weeks later. The latter remains in Texas.

3 Cities Church protesters arrested. One protester, Nekima Levy Armstrong, tries to turn herself in but is told by federal officials they want her in handcuffs. An altered image of her sobbing while being arrested is circulated by the White House.
2-year-old and her father, with open asylum cases, are detained in their driveway after going grocery shopping. A judge order’s the child’s immediate release but she and her father are sent to Texas detention center. Chemical irritants are used on observers. The toddler is returned to her mother the following day.

Police arrest 100 clergy members at MSP airport who were protesting against deportation flights.
Federal agents use tear gas on protesters outside the Whipple Building. One person is arrested.
Federal officers fatally shoot 37-year-old Alex Pretti in Minneapolis after he tries to help another person who was shoved by ICE officials. DHS claim Pretti approached ICE agents with a gun. Bystanders are hit with tear gas, flash bangs, and pepper spray.
Nur-D, local rap and hip-hop artist, is violently detained by federal agents during a protest where Alex Pretti was shot and killed.
Jana Shortal, reporter for KARE 11, is pepper sprayed by federal agents while reporting on Alex Pretti’s fatal shooting.
Governor Walz activates the National Guard. They are sent to the shooting site and Whipple Federal Building to assist with crowd control.
Two women charged for biting federal agents fingers as they tackled and restrained them during protests.
ICE agents detain 16-year-old, label him an unaccompanied minor, send him to Christian youth shelter in Michigan, then are unable to locate him when his family asks for him. A lawyer and investigator are able to locate him weeks later. He is now back in Minnesota with his family.

En route to the detention center she is released to the St. Peter Police Chief after he intervenes. DHS later call her an agitator and do not explain why she was released to the police chief.
Salem grandmother, and U.S. citizen, suffers torn rotator cuff, concussion, and bruised ribs after federal agents violently arrest her.
Federal Judge says ICE has violated almost 100 orders in the month of January.

Federal judge orders Alfredo Aljorna and Julio Sosa-Celis, both charged with assaulted an ICE officer, be released from custody. Aljorna's attorney tries to meet with him but is told they have been taken by ICE and are being sent to a detention center.
